Position:  Automation Test Lead

Suitable for: QA Automation Lead, Automation Tester with approx. 5 years’ experience

Location:  Isle of Man (you must be either resident on the island or willing to relocate there)

Salary: £50k - £65k DOE

The Automation Test Lead is responsible for design, implementation and maintenance of frameworks, artefacts and tooling required to facilitate automated quality assurance across the company.  The main focus of the role is on creating robust automation frameworks and maintaining test suites.

Working closely with engineering, DevOps and Product Owners, the Automation Test Lead will be responsible for proactively integrating automation tests into CI / CD pipelines across Azure hosted environments.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Automation Tester, Automation Test Lead, QA Automation Lead or similar type role
  • Strong experience in test automation including two or more of the following:  Rest Assured, Cucumber, Selenium Node.JS, Postman
  • Must be competent at building test suites in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python
  • Experience of functional, non-functional, regression and end to end testing
  • Experience of working in an agile environment
  • Experience in both manual and automation test scripts
  • Demonstrable experience building pipelines preferably in Azure DevOps and Microsoft .Net
  • Knowledge of CI/CD as well as Jenkins, Bit Bucket, Github
  • Any experience of working in the fintech or financial services sector would be an advantage but not essential

Duties of Automation Test Lead:

  • Take full ownership of the test automation within the company
  • Support the control environment for the IT Delivery team
  • Ensure test automation meets agreed targets
  • Drive improvements across the testing function
