Position:              Business Analyst

Suitable for:       Business Analyst with approx. 5 years min commercial experience and a background in the insurance industry

Location:              Hybrid / Remote – approx. 3 days in office (Rugeley, Staffordshire)

Duration:             Permanent

Our client is looking for a Business Analyst who is an experienced software professional able to confidently interpret and communicate customer requirements ensuring that our client’s exceptional levels of software quality and deployments are met. The client is also looking to offer an opportunity for the Business Analyst position to eventually transition into a Product Owner role.

Experience/Attributes:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as Business Analyst or similar
  • Core skills in mapping data and translating from Source to Target
  • Good understanding of data and how relationships work
  • Knowledge of data modelling techniques
  • Experience of working with technical teams and leading client workshops
  • Experience of gathering user requirements and developing user stories
  • Ability to manage stakeholders with confidence
  • The ability to turn complex concepts into simple language
  • Understanding of the Agile methodology and experience of using JIRA/Trello is an advantage
  • An understanding and comprehensive knowledge of the general insurance market
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent attention to detail

The Role:

The Business Analyst will:

  • Identify data for that needs to be migrated, design a plan for how to move the data, and ensure that the data that's moved is accurate and complete
  • Act as a customer proxy for the development team during the development cycle of specific products and features
  • Analyse the new requirements from our clients and translating into functional specifications for application developers
  • Evolve user stories through development reviews
  • Support the Product Manager in aligning core customer requirements with the published product roadmap
  • Facilitate client workshops, identifying and clarifying requirements
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with Marketing and Operations to define and deliver go-to-market strategy, product positioning, key benefits and target clients
  • Contribute to marketing activity
  • Refine demo process flows (which vary per audience) to highlight the product as its best
