Our client is a valued provider of technology solutions for the provision of out-of-hospital technological support, and they are looking to add a Stores Assistant x 2 to their growing team. This is a telephone and a face-to-face contact role, so candidates should have the necessary skills to maintain a warm friendly atmosphere.

Experience/Attributes:

  • Min 1 years’ experience as Stores Assistant, Stores Administrator, Goods-in Assistant / Administrator, Stock Control Administrator or similar
  • Good IT skills including:
  • general use of Windows based PCs, the Internet and email
  • the use of Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel.
  • Familiarity with Android based product.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Well organised and presentable to customers.
  • Able to talk with customers on the phone and face-to-face.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and within a team.

The Role:

The role of the Stores Assistant will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Setting up new equipment for deployment.
  • Correct handling and correct storage of equipment. This will include some manual handling including lifting and moving equipment and stock.
  • Accurate recording of equipment information and movement tracking.
  • Servicing returned equipment including minor repairs and fault finding.
  • Handling of incoming surface mail.
  • Maintaining the security, integrity and confidentiality of data and information to which they are provided access during the course of their work.
  • Supporting staff with administration tasks.
  • General office duties as directed by senior staff.
  • Maintain an awareness and actively comply with the current Information Governance (IG) and Information Security (IS) standards and policies in force.
  • Achieve the required standard when examined, following mandatory in house or role specific online training.
